I am an American-Dutch director, theatre-maker, and writer (1996, born and raised in New York), with settled status in the UK. I have directed and written sold-out productions in the UK and Amsterdam, including:
— My play Quad Loop, a rhythmic/choral re-telling of the highly-publicised doping scandal surrounding figure skater Kamila Valieva at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Last year, Quad Loop was one of six pieces selected, from 300+ submissions, for the Bomb Factory Theatre New Writing Showcase at the Bush Theatre. In 2024, it had sold-out preview performances at Pushkin House in Bloomsbury, London.
— Paranoia, my adaptation (the first stage adaptation) of the post-war novella by classic Dutch author Willem Frederik Hermans. The show was staged at The Merchant House, Amsterdam, on location in an Amsterdam canal house. For the revival of Paranoia, I was interviewed by Amsterdam’s main paper about my practice.
— Last year, my new piece of original writing, Facility 111—a surreal audio play that takes place in darkness, asking audiences to visualize poetic images in two cities—premiered at Assembly Rooms at the Edinburgh Fringe. It was listed by Lyn Gardner as one of her Top 20 Picks for the Fringe and received 4 stars from The Scotsman and Theatre Weekly. It was developed with Soho Theatre Labs, London. In 2025, I also developed my piece Racine’s Queens as part of the Seeding Space residency at London Performance Studios.
I have assistant directed on several productions, including: Kae Tempest’s Paradise dir. Iqbal Khan (2026, The Station, Bristol), Turandot dir. Barrie Kosky (2022, Dutch National Opera, Amsterdam), The Damned dir. Ivo van Hove (2022, ITA / Amsterdam Bostheater), and Un Vent de Fronde by Compagnie Oghma (2022, Bibliothèque Mazarine, Paris).
I graduated from the University of Cambridge (BA and Master’s) and Ecole Philippe Gaulier, France. I am currently completing the MA Directing course at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, UK, where I directed the absurdist comedy The Crocodile by Tom Basden (after Dostoyevsky) at Weston Studio, Bristol Old Vic Theatre.
